PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
What is PRP?
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is an advanced technique that can enhance the results of many cosmetic procedures and is naturally produced in our blood. During your appointment, your provider will take a syringe of your blood and put it in a machine that spins the blood for about 10 minutes. This process separates the blood from the plasma or as we like to call it “liquid gold.”
The liquid gold is then placed on the surface of the skin during a micro-needling treatment or injected under the skin just like a filler when treating under the eyes or other areas on the face. The PRP that is now entering beneath the skin is stimulating skin healing, collagen production, and many more important proteins that encourage healthy, bright skin. It can also be used to stimulate hair growth or help with sports injury healing.
PRP injections are proven effective in treating male and female pattern baldness. PRP stimulates blood flow in the scalp, which in turn stimulates the hair follicles.
PRP is highly recommended for the stimulation of hair growth after hair transplants.
How many sessions of Capillary PRP should I have?
- It is recommended to have at least three consecutive treatments every 28 days.
